Hi everyone!
This month’s meeting is going to be all about inquiries, initial consultations and how we each process through them. Recently, Jason and I have noticed a distinct decline in how many people actually include their telephone number when they inquire. We have a telephone number field in our form, yet many choose not to use it. It seems to be a sad sign of these digital times. How are we supposed to sell such a personal service, when we cannot make personal contact with our inquires?
We all have been dealing with these changes in our industry. How are you handling them? What, if any, changes have you made regarding that very first contach with potential clietns? Does Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Google play a role in your process? Once contact is made and a meeting is scheduled, what happens next? How long are your consultations? When do you talk price? We are hoping to have at least 3 or 4 brave souls willing to participate in a mock consultation. If any of you are willing to play a bride, groom or photog, please let me know. We are all friends, so there’s no need to feel self-conscious. (and it would really help us out).

We are pleased to announce that Jared Platt will be coming in from Phoenix on Wednesday, May 4th for the May PUG meeting to speak on Lightroom and workflow. This is a different date then usual, but we had to work around Jared’s schedule. In addition, he will be holding a workshop the following day. For more info on both events:
